Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Description

I’m a big seafood lover and occasionally visit Red Lobster to treat myself with some exceptionally tasty treats. They serve this fluffy buttery garlic biscuits which are out of this world. Its comes out straight from the oven and quite addictive. Craving lead me to browse online for a recipe replica and google was very favourable in offering thousand links. This one worked for me and it was soooooooooo good.

Cheddar Biscuits / Restaurant style / Bay Biscuits / Red Lobster Chain / Red Lobster Biscuits / Kids Snack / Dinner Biscuits

Ingredients
¼ tsp Garlic powder (for butter mixture)
½ tsp Dried parsley
¼ tsp Garlic powder
160 ml Milk (2/3 cup )
2 cup Bisquick mix
2 tbsp Butter
½ cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

It just takes 30 minutes on the whole to finish up these cuties…

Step 1: Mix Bisquick mix, cheddar cheese, garlic powder and milk. The dough will be very sticky and that what we want. Do not over mix or beat you just want an even incorporation. Too much mixing will yield chewy biscuits, if you want fluffy biscuits then gently mix and leave them alone. Preheat oven to 450 F and keep it ready. Now take a small portion about size of a golf ball and place them in the baking sheet leaving enough place between each roll. This mixture should yield about 12 to 14 medium size biscuits. Place the baking tray int he middle rack and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 2: Meanwhile melt the butter, add the garlic powder and dried parley and mix well. Once the biscuits are ready, take them out of the oven and generously brush with the butter mixture. You can place back in the oven for a golden finish but not really necessary. Serve them warm anytime.

Notes

Yield: 12 to 14 biscuits

    Hi Mullai,
Can you please tell me the exact quantity of milk(2%) in this recipe? Also can i use
Aunt Jemima’s pancake mix instead of the Bisquick mix?
    Thanks,

      Augusty,

You need to use 2/3 cup that is roughly about 160 ml, just eyeball until it blends. I guess Aunt Jemima mix would work as its for the same purpose but not sure about the quality as I have never tried that brand. really sorry for the late reply nowadays really tied up with work and school and find less time to login here. Good luck to you, catch you soon with a feedback. Thanks.

    Bisquick mix Recipe:

    6 cups all-purpose flour
    3 tablespoons baking powder
    1 tablespoon salt
    1 cup vegetable shortening

    1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt three times into a large bowl.
2 . Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
3 . Store mixture in airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 months.
4 . Use whenever your recipe calls for “Bisquick mix”.

I used tried this homemade mix instead of “bisquick”…it is too good.try if u guys want.

Hey Mullai….The biscuits look so tempting…yeah…the biscuits are the only stuff which I ate at red lobster (I have gone there just once)…..because …guess what… am a VEGETARIAN and what else would I get to eat at “Red Lobster”?. But I must admit that I loved these biscuits like anything and so happy to see your post. Will surely try this out and let you know. Btw, I think there is a typo error in the ingredient list for the milk measurement (it states .666 ml whereas I think it should be .66 of 240 ml).
