Low fat Microwave Potato Chips

Description

seasoned with crushed black peppercornsDeep fried potato chips contains a large amount of saturated fat(from oil+potato), which is a serious health risk. This recipe has less fat since it doesnt involve deep frying.

So dont hesitate,Go on for these guilt-free potato chips!!!

Ingredients
2 tsp Oil (for brushing)
4 nos Potatoes(i have used charlotte potatoes)

Instructions

sliced potatoes

wash potatoes and drain it. Peeling the skin is optional(the skin is rich in fibre). Make very thin slices of potato.

Apply oil evenly on a microwavable plate. I have used a few sprays of fry light 1 calorie oil to grease the plate.

place the slices on the edges of the plate. avoid piling and placing in the middle, for better results.

sprinkle some oil on the  slices.

keep it in the microwave at high power for 3-6 minutes. This depends on the no of slices and the microwave used.

keep an eye on it, so that it doesnt darken much.

Notes

low fat microwave potato chips

sprinkle salt and spices of your choice. I have used crushed black peppercorns.
