|300 grams of chicken[washed and cleaned]|
|1||Potato[big sized washed and chopped]|
|Few curry leaves and corriander leaves for garnishing|
|Salt and oil as per need|
|½ cup||Coconut milk[fresh or store bought]|
|1 T||Ginger garlic paste|
|1 tsp||Fennel seeds|
|Cinnamon stick (small)|
|1 T||Fried gram(pottu kadalai)|
|1 T||Corriander seeds|
|2||Green chillies[slit opened–adjust as per preference]|
|1||Onion[big size chopped lengthwise]|
1. Take a pan add 1 teaspoon of oil and fry all the contents of Ingredient No:2 and allow it to cool.Now grind the content to fine paste and keep it aside.
2.Now add oil , add chicken, potato and curry leaves and saute well till the chicken colour changes.Add ginger garlic paste and saute well with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder and saute well add little water and allow the content to cook.
3.Now add the ground paste on top of the chicken and mix well add little water if u think it is necessary.allow the content to boil for about 5 minutes.
4.Check salt and add the coconut milk and leave it on stove for 3 minutes and garnish with corriander leaves.
Serve this hot with white rice and boild eggs.
Chicken kurma is ready now.
1.There is no need for chilly powder and corriander powder as green chillies and corriander seeds are used for the above recipe.
2.Since the whole spices are fried and ground, garam masala powder is not used.
