This is an srilankan Dish , and our families all time favourite.
we can make this dish with all kinds of greens, but spinach gives it the taste.
|1 cup||Coconut milk|
|2 no||Green chllies|
|2 no||Garlic cloves|
|1 tsp||Turmeric powder|
|1 tsp||Mustard seeds|
|2 T||Unroasted curry poder|
|1 no||Cinnamon stick|
|1 tsp||Lemon grass|
|Salt (as per taste)|
|2 T||Corriander seeds|
|1 T||Cumin seeds|
|1 tsp||Fennel seeds|
For making unroasted curry powder ,Grind all the ing in table -2, without roasting . If u need more , u can increase the quantity .
Clean spinach and cut into small pieces.
Dice garlic clove, onion and green chillies .
Wash lentils and mix with spinach.
In a pan add all spices, onion, garlic, green chillies, cinnamon and lemon grass [ optional ] with lentils and spinach and boil for 10 minutes at medium heat.
Finally add salt and coconut milk and cooking for 2 minutes on low heat.
In another pan , heat oil , add mustard seeds ,when they splutter ,add it immediately to the curry. garnish with corriander leaves .
U can serve it with rice , chappathi and roti.
