| 6 nos | Red radish (cut thin round slices) |
| 1 no | Onion (cut lengthwise) |
| 2 clove | Garlic (crushed) |
| 2 pinch | Turmeric powder |
| 1 tsp | Crushed red peppers |
| ¼ tsp | Mustard |
| ¼ tsp | Cumin seeds |
| ¼ tsp | Split black gram |
| 5 nos | Curry leaves |
| 4 pinch | Salt (or to taste) |
| 3 tsp | Oil |
Instructions

Wash and chop the both ends of the radish, cut them into thin round slices. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan, splutter mustard, cumin seeds, split black gram and curry leaves. Fry onion and garlic until tender, then add the radish pieces along with salt, turmeric and crushed red peppers. Close the pan with lid and let cook on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes until the radish turns just tender. Serve as a side for sambar or rasam saatham(rice).

Notes
Crushed red peppers can be substituted with 1/2 tsp red chilli powder.
