This tangy, spicy tamarind chutney goes well with idli, dosai and uttappam. Very easy to prepare if you have a small jar of mixie.
|1 Lemon Sz||Tamarind(small indian lemon size)|
|15 nos||Shallots(sambar onion)|
|12 nos||Green chillies(medium size)|
|Salt ( as per taste)|
Peel the Skin from the shallots. Wash the shallots and green chillies. Soak the tamarind in little warm water for 15 minutes.
Take a small jar of mixie/blender and grind the green chillis with salt for 1 minute. Then add onion and tamarind with water and grind coarsely. Don't add more water. Serve with steaming idlis, uttappam or dosai with oil on top of thuvaiyal.
