Quick fix onion chutney, simple and easy.
|2 nos||Onion (cut into big dices)|
|½ cup||Fresh grated coconut|
|2 nos||Dry red chillies|
|2 pinch||Split black gram|
|4 nos||Curry leaves|
|¼ tsp||Salt (or to taste)|
Heat 2 tsp of oil and fry red chillies and onion until they turn slightly brown. Switch off. Grind onion, red chillies, coconut and tamarind with salt to a paste like consistency. Now again heat the remaining 1 tsp of oil and temper mustard, split black gram and curry leaves. Add this to the chutney and mix. Adjust salt according to your taste. Serve as a side for Idli, dosai or adai.
