Eral n spring onion vadai, one of the tasty appetizier made with small shrimps n spring onions, will be delicious..kids n adults will love this..will be crispy exterior n very tasty interior..very famous in my hometown..
|2 cup||Channa dal|
|4 nos||Spring onions(chopped finely)|
|¼ no||Onion(chopped finely)|
|4 nos||Green chillies|
|1½ tsp||Ginger grated or chopped thin|
|¾ tsp||Fennel seed powder|
|1 cup||Small shrimps r big shrimps|
|5 nos||Curry leaves|
|3 stks||Coriandre leaves|
|Salt as per taste|
|Oil for deep frying|
To make the vadai, soak Channa dal for at least one n half an hour . Then wash and drain the water, keep aside 2 tablespoons of channa dal, grind coarsely the rest channa dal and mix chopped onion,chopped spring onions, green chillies pieces, gratedginger,curry leaves, coriander leaves, shrimps (if the shrimps r big cut them into small pieces),fennel seed powder with salt, 2 table spoons of channa dal..mix everything to form a thick dough..Heat oil n fry them as deep frying..do them in batches..drain the excess oil in a paper towel n serve.
