Eggless Chocolate Cake..A very simple n easy cake made with vegetable margarine n chocolate powder..taste very good too..
|1¼ cup||All purpose flour/maida|
|4 T||Vegetable margarine|
|3 T||Chocolate powder|
|1 T||Baking powder|
|2 tsp||Almond flakes|
Preheat the oven to 350°F n grease the 9 inch round cake pan..keep aside..In a bowl, mix the margarine n sugar n beat them until they turns light n fluffy.Sift the flour,salt, chocolate powder n baking powder in another bowl..mix yoghurt and milk together in a small jug.
Add 1/3 of the flour mix to the creamed margarine and beat in thoroughly. Then pour a third of the milk mixture and beat it in. Finish up the remaining flour and milk mix the same way till you get a fairly thick batter. Make sure you beat well after each addition..Pour the thick batter to the greased pan n sprinkle the flaked almonds..bake it until 20 minutes(baking time differs depending upon the type of the oven)..To check whether the cake is done, insert a toothpick n remove it, if the stick is clean, the cake is done..
Eggless Chocolate Cake is ready..sprinkle the icing sugar before serves..its optional..can serve very well without too..
