      Jey,
      Usually for one cup rice is 1 teaspoon salt (approx), so for this recipe go ahead and add 1 3/4 teaspoon and adjust once the rice is cooked depending on your taste. Just sprinkle while its still hot and mix gently once it cools down a bit otherwise the rice will break. Hope this helps, thanks.

    I tried it yesterday…. I reduced the amount of mint leaf.. also confused with bay leaf here so didnt add. apart from tat i added all as mentioned here & made this. You know what it was AWESOME… We all had two plates of soya briyani..

    Sri lankans food is soya.. engaluke soya briyaniya.. thank you thank you… We are announcing tat Soya Chunk Briyani is also in SL food list from today…. :D:D:D:D:D Thank you so much.. Hats off to our rice queen…. btw , Engalukku unga soya briyani copy right koduthudungo… I think you are the first person made briyani with soya chunks :D:D:D

    hi suja,

    just want to clarify one doubt. Can you tel me hoe much of water u have to add wen u do briyani’s. lets say v have 2 cups(electric rice cooker cup). how many cups (same cup) of water u will add ?

      hi anusha,

           you can add 4 cups of water for 2 cups of rice….but if you soak the rice you can reduce 1/2 cup water.hope this helps you…
