This dish with made with mutton and spinach leaves.This is a popular south indian dish.
|1 bunch||Spinach leaves(palak)|
|3 nos||Onions – paste|
|1 tsp||Ginger paste|
|1 tsp||Garlic paste|
|2 T||Tomato puree|
|1 tsp||Cumin powder|
|1 tsp||Dhania powder|
|1 tsp||Red chilli powder|
|1 pinch||Garam masala powder|
|3 stks||Coriander leaves- for garnishing|
Boil the spinach leaves(palak)and grind it to a fine paste.Then grind the onions in a mixer into a thick paste.Heat oil in a kadai, and add the onion paste and fry until they become golden brown.Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the mutton pieces,red chilli powder and salt and stir well for few minutes.Now add the cumin powder,dhania/coriander powder, tomato puree and the ground spinach(palak).Now reduce the heat and cover and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes,stirring occassionally until the mutton is tender and done.Sprinkle garam masala powder and garnish with cilantro(coriander leaves)and serve hot with boiled rice.
