Fish Tikka

1 1/2 cup powdered Sugar (if you can powder in mixer than even better)
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp Baking Soda
Cream together 1 cup crisco and 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Sieve flour along with baking soda. Keep dough aside for 1 1/2 to 3 hours. Roll into balls and flatten. Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 22 minutes.

It can be flavoured in numerous ways most popular being the kesar, pista, badam and mango. Unlike ice cream this is not whipped so its melting point is very high and also texture looks similar to thick dense custard.

Term Tandoori calls for use of a traditional tandoor oven or clay oven. Simple kumpati (kumbati / mann aduppu) which are popular in Indian kitchens can be used for grilling these to get smoky flavour. For those who live abroad with conventional ovens can use broil setting to get little bit of the smoky flavour. I did little bit of baking and then broiled to darken the sides.

We had planned chappathi for dinner 2 days back, and later realised its ammavasyay. so had to refrigerate both the dough and the soaked green gram meant for dhal. turned out to be very tasty. no side dish was required since it was basically a dhal stuffing.
