Moongdal Rasam

There r lots of varieties n way to prepare rasam, here we go for moongdal rasam...very tasty rasam ready within few minutes..

Ingredients
¼ cup

Moongdal/green gram

1 T

Ginger chopped

2 nos

Green chillies

¼ tsp

Pepper powder

1 tsp

Cuminseed powder

½ no

Tomato

½ tsp

Mustard seed

¼ tsp

Asafoetida powder

2 nos

Red chilli

3 nos

Curry leaves

2 stks

Cilantro leaves

1 tsp

Lemon juice

Oil

Salt as per taste

Instructions

Pressure cook moongdal with chopped ginger n green chillies until 5 whistles, put off the stove...dilute the cooked moongdal as ur wish n smash the cooked dal with ur fingers, now add the tomatoes pieces, cuminseed powder, pepper powder, salt as well as curry leaves n chopped cilantro leaves, heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seed, red chilli n asafoetida powder n let them splutters, now add the cooked moongdal with spices to the kadai, once they starts boiling, add the lemon juice n put off the stove..

Tasty n spicy Moongdal rasam is ready to serve..serve hot..
