Homemade Waffle Recipe – Breakfast Waffle Recipe – How to make Waffles – Making waffles at home is fun for Sid, he likes to watch as well help me with the preparation. This will be the first pick on a sunday morning and here is simple recipe for basic waffle which turns out great every time i make. Use some creativity.. throw in chopped nuts, add in vanilla flavor or a pinch of cinnamon or even chocolate chips… leaving it your choice!

|All purpose flour||1 & 3/4 cup|
|Baking powder||1 tablespoon|
|Sugar (White or Brown)||2 tablespoons|
|Milk (i have used 2%)||1 & 3/4 cup|
|Melted butter||1/2 cup|
|Walnuts||1/4 cup (chopped) (optional)|
Mix all the dry ingredients together – Whisk in flour, baking powder, salt & sugar in a bowl and keep it ready.
Now for the wet ingredients – In a bowl, beat eggs, melted butter and milk along with vanilla.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and lightly mix with a whisk until well blend. Let it rest for few minutes for the baking powder to activate. Meanwhile heat your waffle iron.
Extras – add in chopped walnuts or choco chips
Brush the waffles iron with some butter. GRILLED CHEESE ROLL UPS
Pour a ladleful batter over the waffle iron right in the center. Pour only upto 3/4 surface and rest will spread once you close. (Do not pour too much out of enthusiasm, the batter will spill all over once you close)
My waffle maker has a green light, which goes on once the waffle is ready. If you don’t have that setting then, open when steam settles.
Carefully remove the cooked waffles from the iron using a tong and serve topped with maple syrup , fresh fruits and nuts! VEG CHEESE TOAST

- Adding walnuts is optional.
- You may add chocolate chips or a pinch of nutmeg powder or cinnamon powder for extra flavoring.
