“Fish Vadai”, I happened to make this Vadai when i bought the fish and found 3 slice of fish not in shape ie., they were broken.My Mil used to make this so i just followed my MIl’s recipe and sharing it with u all.
|3||Medium sized slices of fish[i used mackerel]|
|Salt as per taste|
|Oil as per need|
|2 T||Corn flour powder|
|1 T||Chilly powder[adjust as per preference]|
|1 tsp||Garam masala powder|
|1 T||Ginger garlic[crushed]|
|Few curry leaves and corriander leaves chopped|
1.Wash and clean the fish thoroughly and keep it aside.Now boil the fish with a little turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.This would just take 5 minutes.
2.Once when the fish is boiled enough drain the water and allow the fish to cool.Now remove the skin, bones/thorn and mash it.This would look like the below Picture.
3.To the above, add the corn flour,chilly powder, garam masala ,salt ,onion,curryleaves, corriander leaves, ginger garlic and mix well .Sprinkle some water to get the Vada batter consistency.This would look like the below picture.
4.Now make this in vadai shapes and deep fry this like how u make vadas.
Tasty Fish Vadai is ready.
1.I have used Korean Mackerel fish[please refer fish names in tamil] for the above recipe.You can use any fish of ur choice but see to that there is less bones or thorn in it which would be preferable for this recipe.
2.Increase or decrease the masalas according to the quantity u make.
3.Wash the fish thouroughly with salt and turmeric and also use curd or lemon to wash it finally inorder to avoid the raw smell of the fish.
4.I have made these vadas in masala vadai shape…u can even make this like a cutlet or like a bigger vadai as per ur preference.
