10 hours 48 min agoThat could be one of the reason also we may never know about the expiry date of such stuff, which most Indian stores never attempt to do. So sometimes stale items can resort to such problems. Congrats on surviving the second attempt. Thanks.

16 hours 29 min agoI was looking for Vada Curry recipie. All other sites suggested frying the vada. Only your site suggested steaming it. The dish came out excellent. I am in Sharjah with my family in Chennai. I am learning (by force only!!) how to cook and now on my way to expertise. Thanks for sharing wonderful recipes.

I guess it is not mochai but same family. It's called 'double beans' in south and looks like brownish red in color. quite expensive though but a great delicacy. People take the outer skin and cook. Ok. Bye

This was my second attempt and it was far far better. it was not dark brown and hard like last time. But it had a raw gram flour taste. is it because my roasting was not enough or some other reason?

10 hours 39 min agoSowmya, Its not a must to add fenugreek... but adding little gives you good color to the dosa.. I usually eyeball it, 1/2 to 1 tsp is fine. To be on the safe side let me update my recipe to 1/2 tsp. Thanks.
