This is a very famous Andhra type chutney with coconut. It goes very well with rice and Avakai pickle.
|1 cup||Grated coconut|
|5 nos||Green chili|
|3 T||Urad dal|
|2 T||Kadalai parupu|
|1 tsp||Musturd seeds|
|1 tsp||Methi seeds|
|3 nos||Red chillies|
Take oil in a tawa and add the Urad dal, kadalai parupu, Methi seeds, some musturd seeds, asefeitoda 5-6 green chillies and fry till golden brown. the red chillies are optional , you can add if you want the chutney to be spicy.
Keep aside till cool. Grind the grated coconut, and the above mix. Add salt and a pinch of turmeric powder.
As a variation, add curd to the chutney and serve for idly, dosas.
