Pulav made with Coconut milk and spices.
|1||Onion[big chopped lengthwise]|
|2||Green chillies[slit open adjust as per preference]|
|1 T||Ginger garlic paste|
|½ cup||Coconut milk[thick]|
|Salt as per taste|
|Oil and ghee as per need|
|Whole spices[ few fennel seeds,big cardamom, 2 cloves,1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 bay leaf]|
|Corriander and mint leaves [for garnishing]|
|2 cup||Basmathi rice (cleaned and washed)|
1.Take a pressure cooker, add oil and the whole spices.Now add onion and saute till translucent.
2.Add Green chillies and ginger garlic paste and saute well till u get nice aroma.Add Peas[optional] and saute well. Now add salt and mix well.
3.Add 2 and a half cup of water and half cup of coconut milk and mix well.
4.To this add the Basmathi rice and pressure cook for 1 whistle and once when u hear the 1st whistle, sim down and allow it to be in sim for about 5 minutes and turn off the stove.
5.Garnish wwith corriander and mint leaves and serve hot with raitha and any gravy or kurma.
Tasty Coconut milk Pulav is ready to be relished.
I have used store bought coconut milk.U can use this or fresh coconut milk.
