Can you please suggest good insurance plan for kids. Whether it be life insurance, educational insurance etc.

I wanted to start insurance for my kid when she was born, but now she is 3 even now I am debating which insurance to go for?  You input is highly appreciated. Do you think it is good to enroll in insurance companies in India or if you have enrolled here in US please share your thoughts either way.
