Kathrikai Murungakai Kara Kuzhambhu
This is a soupy gravy made mainly with tamrind pulp, little thicker than stew, very popular item in Tamil nadu served with rice. Same gravy with slight moderation is called pulusu in Andhra.

Salna / Chicken chalna
This country side curried dish is very famous in Tamilnadu often served as a side for Parotta, Biryani , idli, idiyappam and kal dosai. Colloquially its known as Salna, can be made using either vegetables or meat, but mostly made with mutton or chicken.

Poriyal is a dry fry dish made with vegetables, greens and even with some seafood items. Normally it is made without eggs, but this is a new combination where onions sauteed with spinach and scrambled eggs. Even people who hate spinach especially kids would love this dish.
