Murukku takes many turns with every region and culture. Here is an Andhra speciality… murukku is called Janthikalu in Telugu and they always make theirs very hot and spicy. This recipe is similar to our thenkuzhal preparation but made with gram flour instead of Urad flour along with some additions.

Cabbage dhal goes well with hot rice topped with ghee, tastes too good, different dhal with cabbage, can be also a side dish for chappathis, will be mildly spicy..give a try friends..

Turnip is a root vegetable, they r rich in fibre, vitamin C n turnips r vital source of vitamins..here we get very easily these turnips, so tried it out as turnip pappu .. it came out very well, Kids will love for the sure as it wasnt too much spicy, goes well with rice dishes as well as idilies n dosais..To get more idea about this turnips..have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turnips..
