Dry roast the dried shrimps till the smell goes away and grind it into powder. Keep it aside.
Heat oil & slightly toast mustard, and cumin seeds. Fry chopped onion till the raw smell goes away. Then saute green chillies, dry red chillies, & curry leaves.
Add shrimp powder and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add cabbage & fry in high flame for a min. Add coconut and fry till it cooks well in high flame.
Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder & salt and sauté for a min in low flame.
Then add cumin seed powder, close the pan with a lid and cook for 2 – 3 mins in high flame. Take it off from the fire.
You can use maldive fish or dried nathali instead of shrimp.
