Hi friends, Bottle gourd adai is one of my fauvorite Breakfast item. Bottle gourd belongs to Squash Variety. It has good nutritional facts
like Low in Saturated Fat, and Cholesterol,High in Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Zinc, Thiamin, Iron, Magnesium and Manganese. Apart from this ,it is a very tasty adai….Hope u will like it..
|1 no||Bottle gourd|
|5 no||Green chili|
|1 cup||Rice flour|
|2 no||Onion medium ( chopped)|
1. Grate the Bottlegourd by removing the skin.
2.Grate the Ginger.Chop the onion in to fine pieces.
3. Now take a kadai, heat oil, add onion fry till it becomes transcluent. Add Green chillies.
4. Now add ginger, fry till the raw smell goes away.
5.Switch off and let it cool.
6.Now in a seperate vessel, add rice flour,salt,bottle gourd and fried onion & ginger.Make it as a dough as shown in the fig.
7.Dont add water while preparing the dough. Make the dough soft.

8. Make the dough in to lemon size balls.
9.Now take a plastic sheet, apply little oil and flatten the lemon size dough using your hand as shown in the above picture.
10.Take a dosa kal, then place the flattened adai over it and toast it, till it becomes crispy.

11.Fry both the ends till it is well cooked and turns light brown and crispy.

12.Tasty Bottlegourd adai is ready. Serve hot with tomato or milagai chutney.
You can do this adai with Cucumber also.
