Mullai, I was looking for a kitchen aid for quite some time, confused between classic and artisan series. Which do you recommend?

      Anand,
The one I have is Kitchenaid 500 professional which has been a very recent addition to my kitchen and don’t have much to review about it but definitely very handy so far. I use it mainly for chapati, pizza and bread dough. Occasionally for baking needs like cookies, bars and cakes.
Classic models have low power motor, small bowel size, 3 attachments, limited colour option and less expensive. Artisans have better power, bigger mixing bowls, 3 attachments and lot of color options, little expensive compared to the classic. Only problem is the some gears are made of plastic.
Next level is the professional series which has lot more powerful motor, big stainless steel mixer bowl with handle, 3 attachments and most parts in steel. Problem here is.. it does not tilt like the artisan.
So, it all depends on how much your going to put to use, if you are an ardent baker and love to cook then Professional is your best bet. Thanks.
