I have heard many sayingSubmitted by anithas (not verified) on Tue, 07/15/2008 - 12:57pm.
I have heard many saying that they use vonage for india calls and in that case $4 is the charge per month for instrument set up in india plus call charges..will post more when I get to know more about this. Also one recommended startec.com here:http://www.startec.com/US/EN/default.jsp where rates are 4.9cents/min and he says voice quality is good.No personal experience though. » reply
I was using reliance forSubmitted by anithashankar on Tue, 07/15/2008 - 11:09am.
I was using reliance for many years but I recently switched to Tata's true roots at 6.9cents/min over reliance,because I have calculated talk time for $50 as below..let me know if am wrong ;-) $50 dollars = 50000 cents / 7.9 cents = 632.911 minutes / 60 = 10.54 Hrs talk time $50 - $5.92 [Hidden TAX] = 44.08 = 4408 cents / 7.9 cents = 557.97 minutes / 60 = 9.299 = 9.30 Hrs talk time You are loosing 1.24 Hrs of talk time with Reliance India. » reply

Dear Mullai, Check out this link I have heard from my friends last week that this is the best deal for calling India though I am using only relinceindiacall.I have also checked their website and the rates are also very low.500 minute plan is $25.50.It seems the connection and clarity of the call is also very good.Try it out if you find it useful Thanks ShaliniPrabhu » reply
I looked at theSubmitted by shyamu on Fri, 06/06/2008 - 11:10pm.
I looked at the freecallplanet.com site before but they say that are our credit card will get charged every month with the plan that we chose the first time. Also whatever plan we are choosing we are supposed to use those minutes within that month and it will not rollover. I dont know how easy it is to cancel their lines in the middle if we dont like the service. This is what had prevented me from using this site. Its just my 2 cents and even I have been looking for best deals on this for a long time. So looking forward for more replies. » reply

As for me RelianceindiacallSubmitted by Cappuccino on Tue, 05/06/2008 - 12:16pm.
As for me Relianceindiacall is the best. More competitors for reliance like Airtel and so..In Airtel they are charging like 5.9/min and in reliance 7.4 while using the toll access number and 7.9 while using the toll free numbers. Just a few pennies difference. Airtel also offers some free talktime while recharging and refering a friend. I tried rebtel free trail version for 10 mins it was good but i didn't try the paid version. Earlier my hubby use to call me through Nobel while i was in India, it was really bad and often it gets disconnected and regarding voice its not feeble. You hear like that you're talking from the Well (keani) Have a great day » reply
