|1 cup||Aval (flaked rice/poha) – 160ml cup|
|1½ tsp||Fresh grated coconut|
|1 pinch||Cardamom powder|
Wash aval with warm water. Squeeze the water completely from aval. Add sugar, coconut & cardamom. Mix well & serve with sliced banana.
Jaggery can be shredded & used instead of sugar. In fact original version contains jaggery.
Milk can be added instead of coconut. Add half a cup of milk & serve.
I am cant stand the smell of jaggery; so stick with sugar.
